An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when the winner, Lumenbourg (GB), ridden by Ryan Sexton interfered with Clyde Bay (GB), placed third, ridden by Rossa Ryan, and Northbound (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Joanna Mason.
Sexton was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he shifted left-handed when insufficiently clear of Ryan causing him to take a significant check, which in turn left Mason short for room on the rail.
Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Hawajes (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and never travelled.
