The winner, Play Me (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 2 August 2025, where the gelding finished sixth of seven beaten 10 ¾ lengths.
Jim Boyle’s explanation that the gelding had benefited from a step up in trip to 1 mile from 7 furlongs, and that in his opinion Play Me (GB) settled better on this occasion, was noted.
Play Me (GB) was routine tested.
