Permission was given for Nibras Angel (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Shortly after the start, Foreseen (GB), placed fourth, stepped sharply right-handed, as a consequence of its saddle slipping, causing the rider of the winner, Desperate Dan (IRE), to take a check off heels, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final ½ furlong, involving the winner, Desperate Dan (IRE), ridden by Neil Callan, Foreseen (GB), placed fourth, ridden by David Egan and Panelli (GB), unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane.
Callan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed, taking Foreseen (GB) slightly off its intended line and causing Loughnane to take a slight check.
½ a furlong out, Panelli (GB), unplaced, moved left-handed to avoid the heels of Foreseen (GB), placed fourth, carrying Sierra Blanca (IRE), placed fifth, off its intended line which subsequently carried Lyndon B (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
Following the race, David Egan reported that his saddle slipped on Foreseen (GB), placed fourth, shortly after leaving the stalls.
