The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Chirac trained by John James Feane was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined the trainer €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148(xii)
The Raceday Stewards granted a request from W. McCreery, trainer of Chapel Lane, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official as per the provisions of Rule 90(i)
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Paul W. Flynn, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Only One Scobie, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Paul W. Flynn stated that his charge did not handle the ground on the 31st of July in Galway and that he felt his charge was not suited to the track on the 1st of July in Fairyhouse. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Glitter And Glory, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Saga Lucia, ridden by J.A. Powell and Glitter And Glory, ridden by S. Foley, where it appeared Saga Lucia ran keen up on heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.A. Powell stated that his filly was keen, that he tried to take back off heels and that he got a few bumps which he felt caused his saddle to slip. S. Foley stated that he held his line all the way. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

P.A. Harnett, rider of Chirac, trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his hind legs on the turn.
