Subiaco records 28/1 surprise for Cotter and Roche
Keane makes a winning return to action at Dundalk
He ran last Friday here and we thought he should have been winning it. He should have been more than capable for tonight. Colin was looking for the ride on him and available, so we put him on. It is not often you get a man of his calibre. He has done it well, but he keeps a bit for himself. He was down with Dick Donohoe, and he was on a break for a while. We gave him a couple of weeks off and just brought him back (last week). If he is claimed, that is the nature of the game.

Holohan again shines on Dawn Flame
I backed him last week and thought he would win. He didn't do a stroke. I think I got set back with the weather, and I wanted to give him more of a gallop up here and it was frozen. I never got him away and I think he's come on from that run, it was pure greenness, I think, last week. He was drawn wide as well and he got trapped wide. Leigh (Roche), who rode him last week, said when the horse came upsides him, he literally froze. It just went smoother tonight and sure we had eight stone. I was forced to run because of lack of opportunities for him. I was going to go seven next week, but I think he wants a mile and two.
Orla Tynan completes a 42/1 double on her grandad Matty's Soldier's Tree
This is like a dream really! You couldn't write it, could you?. She rode her first winner for us, and we are trying to get her going. She's my granddaughter, so you do your best for your own family. He's out of Maontri who won four Friday nights here (in 2014). She went from 59 to 98. She got a bit of an injury after that. That's the way she used to run. She used to have a green hood on her, and you'd see the green hood heading off in front. We said we would do the same thing with him - jump out, hope for the best, and we knew he would stay going. We think he is a good horse, and this is the icing on the cake for your granddaughter to ride a winner. I see no problem (on turf). We might get him in a big race off a light weight, and Orla could ride him. That's what we have in mind as Orla can ride off bottom-weight. We'll enjoy tonight!
River Of Life in full flow on debut for Thorne
Lovely performance. He's a horse we were sent from Mrs Jim Ryan and Mrs John Kirkland that they bought at the breeze ups last year. We got him into our system at home and decided to give him a little bit of time off through the summer just to mature and strengthen. He came back to me in great shape in September. He has impressed us the whole way through. Every little bit we have done with him, he has just continued to bounce the ball back at us to ask us to give him a little bit more. Ready to start there today, we knew he would come forward plenty for it. We knew he was streetwise enough to run a nice race, and this was fortunately the weaker division of the two divisions on the card tonight. He has done it very nicely and we'll have a sit down and see if there might be a winners' race coming up, so we'll see how he takes it. He will be a lovely horse for the turf later on in the season. I think he will (get a mile), and Jack said he travelled through the race well. We might be keen to stick to seven for the moment. Robson (De Aguiar) did fancy his horse (runner-up Fate's Gambit), so hopefully we might have beaten something smart there.
Carroll back in action with a winner
He finished the race well. He has been working very well at home. Last time, he was a little bit quiet and today he has come in form. I'd say a mile will be no problem for him. He has a big stride and is a very sound horse. As the year goes on, I think he is going to improve again. Something like that (a nice handicap on the turf over seven furlongs or a mile).
