Upon leaving the stalls, Tickettothestars (IRE), unplaced, jumped right-handed at the same time that Ganthorpe (GB), placed third, jumped slightly left-handed, resulting in both Buckland Belle (GB), placed fifth, and He Bangs The Drums (IRE), unplaced, being hampered and Magnificent Mel (IRE), placed second, losing its early position when tightened for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ganthorpe (GB).
Following the race, Alistair Rawlinson reported that Tickettothestars (IRE), unplaced, hung right- handed.
