THE LARKHALL CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) (Bath Summer Stayers' Series Qualifier) Permission was given for Taritino (IRE) and Golden Garden (USA) to wear a red hood to post.
Inside the final furlong, Kotari (IRE), placed fifth, moved right-handed at the same time as No More Bolero (GB), unplaced, moved left-handed causing a weakening Golden Garden (USA), unplaced, to be shortened for room but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Kotari (IRE).
The winner, Curran (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 15 May 2026 where the gelding finished fourteenth of fifteen runners, beaten by 92 ¾ lengths.
Rod Millman’s representative’s explanation that the gelding benefitted from a more positive ride on this occasion, was noted.
Curran (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the representative of Jamie Osborne reported that Abando (GER), unplaced, ran flat having run only two days previously.
