THE COOLMORE AUGUSTE RODIN HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for AUTUMN’S BREEZE (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the bend leaving the backstraight involving Perfect Scoundrel (GB), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Muscutt, Rose Cotton (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Mitchell and Vilaine Verlaine (GB), unplaced, ridden by Alicia Perkins.
As a 7lb claiming apprentice, Perkins was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Perkins was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to shift left-handed taking Rose Cotton (GB) off its intended racing line and crowding Perfect Scoundrel (GB) as a result.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final ½ furlong involving Amancio (GB), placed third, ridden by Donagh Murphy and Patrol (IRE), placed second, ridden by Sean Levey.
As a 7lb claiming apprentice, Murphy was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Levey was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed taking Amancio (GB) slightly off its intended racing line.
Following the race, Jason Watson reported that Autumn's Breeze (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling and lost its action; the Veterinary Officer examined the mare post-race and had nothing to report.
Ryan Kavanagh reported that Simiyann (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
