The Clerk of the Scales objected to Fast Fred (GB), unplaced, ridden by Miss Pippa Brown, and trained by Phillip Makin on the grounds of the rider weighing in at 9 stone 10 Ibs having weighed out at 10 stone 10½ Ibs.
The rider, the trainer and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Having reviewed video recordings of the incident, the Stewards were satisfied that the weight discrepancy was due to the weight cloth falling off approximately 1 furlong out.
Fast Fred (GB) was disqualified.
