Approaching the final furlong, Em Jay Kay (GB), placed third, drifted left-handed at the same time as the winner, Gustav Graves (GB) drifted slightly right-handed causing Nad Alshiba Snow (IRE), placed fifth, to become momentarily short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Em Jay Kay (GB) or Gustav Graves (GB).
Following the race, Billy Loughnane reported that Amerjeet (GB), which started favourite and finished second, was slowly away.
Jack Doughty, the rider of Wedgewood (GB), placed fourth, and Rowan Scott, the rider of Spendmore Lane (GB), unplaced, both reported that their mounts hung right-handed off the bend.
