The Raceday Stewards reviewed a false start on the first approach to the starter. Having viewed the recording of the start and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the false start was caused through no fault of any rider and therefore took no further action
Brian Mortell, trainer of Jessie Roe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge made an abnormal noise in running
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start involving Baile Mhisteala, ridden by Mr J.H
Williamson, placed fifth, Holly's Diamond, ridden by Mr A.W. O'Donnell, unplaced and Let It Settle, ridden by Mr J.R. Martin, unplaced, where it appeared things became tight. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr J.H. Williamson stated that his mount was spooked, and things got tight when he had to pull off heels. Mr A.W
O'Donnell stated that on jumping off he initially had enough room to fill a gap, but it closed from both sides. Mr J.R. Martin stated that he felt pressure from the inside and his mount leaned into the pressure rather than away from it, which he attempted to correct. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
Mr P.W. Gleeson, rider of Jessie Roe, trained by Brian Mortell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise in running
