An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Dirtyoldtown (IRE), placed second, ridden by Sam James, LAST HORRAH, unplaced, ridden by Andrew Mullen and Value Theory (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Breslin.
James was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to edge right-handed towards the rail, taking LAST HORRAH off its intended line and causing Breslin to take back on the rail.
Shortly after leaving the stalls, the free running winner, Spirit Catcher (IRE), ran onto the heels of Sunday Justice (IRE), unplaced, causing Joe Fanning to take back for several strides but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Paul Mulrennan reported that Desert Angel (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed In the straight and the Veterinary Officer reported that the colt had lost its left fore and right hind shoes.
