Permission was given for Lead Artist (GB), Tamfana (GER) and Persica (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Dancing Gemini (IRE) to go early to post wearing and red hood and to be mounted on the chute.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, the winner, Lead Artist (GB), drifted marginally right-handed carrying Fallen Angel (GB), unplaced, slightly off its intended line, which in turn, caused Tamfana (GER), unplaced, to become momentarily short of room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Lead Artist (GB).
An enquiry was held into why Oisin Murphy removed his skull cap following the race while still mounted aboard the winner, Lead Artist (GB).
Murphy was interviewed and fined £140.
