Permission was given for Harper's Ferry (GB) to go early to post and to wear a red hood to the start, for Phantom Flight (GB) to wear a red hood and to be ponied to the start and for Royal Dubai (FR) to wear a red hood to the start.
The Starter reported that Phantom Flight (GB), ridden by Callum Shepherd and trained by George Scott, had arrived late at the start.
Shepherd and Scott were interviewed.
Scott was fined £140 as he had not left sufficient time for the gelding to be ponied to the start as per the ‘Ponying of horse to start’ protocol, contributing to the race being late off.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Unquestionable (FR), unplaced, lost its right- fore shoe.
