THE DUBAI DUTY FREE STAKES (CLASS 1) (Registered as the Fred Darling Stakes) (Group 3) Permission was given for both Silenciosa (IRE) and Sukanya (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out involving the winner, Sukanya (GB), ridden by David Probert, Catching The Moon (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ryan Moore, and Princess Petrol (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran Shoemark.
Probert was suspended for 4 days for improper riding in that he manoeuvred Sukanya (GB) left-handed when it ought to have been obvious that interference would occur resulting in both Catching The Moon (IRE) and Princess Petrol (GB) being moved off their intended lines.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong out involving Ellusive Butterfly (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Clifford Lee, Domina Ignis (FR), placed third, ridden by David Egan, and Figjam (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds.
Saffie Osborne, the rider of Touleen (GB), placed second, was also interviewed but found not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental in that having initially shifted right-handed allowing for Domina Ignis (FR) to come for a run into a legitimate gap, Ellusive Butterfly (IRE) shifted back left-handed having been corrected by Lee causing both Domina Ignis (FR) and Figjam (IRE) to become tight for room between runners.
