THE £9 RACEDAYS AT NOTTINGHAM RACECOURSE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Bearwith (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood, and for Volto Di Medusa (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and wear a red hood to post.
The Starter reported that Onslow Gardens (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and was withdrawn at 6:48pm.
Kevin Frost was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately two and a half furlongs out, involving the winner, Caph Star (GB), ridden by Hector Crouch, In The Post (GB), unplaced, ridden by Rowan Scott, and Dream Pirate (GB), unplaced, ridden by George Wood.
Crouch was suspended for 5 days for improper riding as he angled his mount right-handed to obtain a clear run, bumping Scott and moving him off his intended line, which in turn caused Wood to be taken off his intended line, when Crouch ought reasonably to have known that interference would have occurred.
Following the race, Zac Wheatley reported that Kasgani (IRE), placed third, was briefly denied a clear run approaching the furlong marker.
Rowan Scott reported that In The Post (GB), unplaced, hung right- handed.
