Approaching 2 furlongs out, Sixtygeesbaby (IRE), placed second, shifted left-handed, causing Carbine Harvester (FR), unplaced, to take a slight check when short of room for a stride, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sixtygeesbaby (IRE).
The winner, Photosynthesis (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Chester on 30 August 2025 where the gelding finished seventh of nine runners, beaten by 7 lengths.
Peter Chapple-Hyam’s explanation that Photosynthesis (IRE) benefitted from a return to a straight track, on this occasion, having raced at Chester in its previous race, was noted.
Photosynthesis (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Thomas Greatrex reported that WHEELS ON FIRE (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run 1 ½ furlongs out.
