Permission was given for Wild Clary (IRE) to wear a red hood to post, and for Sergeant Pep (IRE) to go to post early.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 1½ furlongs out, involving Bear Force One (GB), unplaced, ridden by Faye McManoman, Wild Clary (IRE), placed second, ridden by Joe Leavy, and Vantheman (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tom Eaves.
Cieren Fallon the rider of the winner, Realign (FR), was interviewed but found not to be involved in the incident.
Leavy was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had made a misjudgement when putting his mount into an already insufficient gap between Vantheman (IRE) and Wild Clary (IRE) when attempting to improve its position, before Vantheman (IRE) shifted marginally right-handed, causing Wild Clary (IRE) to be checked and in turn give a bump to Bear Force One (GB).
Inside the final furlong, Vantheman (IRE), unplaced, shifted marginally right-handed before being quickly corrected, which resulted in the weakening Bear Force One (GB), unplaced, becoming momentarily short of room on the rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Oisin Orr reported that Uncle Don (GB), placed fourth, was unable to obtain free running between the 2 furlong and ½ furlong markers.
Joe Leavy reported that Wild Clary (IRE), placed second, suffered interference 1½ furlongs out.
