Permission was given for Paws For Thought (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start and for Il Bandito (IRE) and Manigordo (USA) to go early to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Il Bandito (IRE), trained by James Horton, was not submitted.
Horton was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
On the bend leaving the back straight, Golden Apollo (GB), placed fifth, lugged left-handed, briefly tightening up Tashgheel (IRE), unplaced, for racing room on the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Golden Apollo (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the half furlong marker involving Recall The Show (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Jonathan Fisher; Golden Apollo (GB), placed fifth, ridden by James Sullivan; and Manigordo (USA), unplaced, ridden by Paul Hanagan.
Fisher was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had continued to use his whip in the right hand on his mount, which had already shown a tendency to lug left-handed on more than one occasion and ended up drifting left into the path of Manigordo (USA) which was tightened for room onto Golden Apollo (GB), causing that gelding to be hampered.
Harry Davies, the rider of Corinthia Knight (IRE), placed fourth, was also present in the enquiry and it was found that Corinthia Knight (IRE) had edged right-handed towards Golden Apollo (GB) from the inside, but had not directly caused any interference to that runner.
