Permission was given for Rathgar (GB) and Fouroneohfever (IRE) to both wear a red hood to post.
Inside the final furlong, Qitaal (GB), placed third, hung quickly right-handed, despite the riders best efforts, causing Stressfree (FR), placed fourth, to be hampered when tightened for room, which in turn inconvenienced Rathgar (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Qitaal (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong, involving Fouroneohfever (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane, Royal Approval (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Oisin Murphy, Whiskey Pete (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Alex Jary and Have Secret (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Billy Garrity.
The interference was found to be accidental as despite the riders best efforts Fouroneohfever (IRE) hung left-handed, which intimidated and took Royal Approval off its intended line, which in turn carried Have Secret (IRE) left-handed, resulting in Whiskey Pete (IRE) being badly impeded on the rail.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong, involving Rathgar (GB), placed fifth, ridden by David Probert and Asgard's Captain (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ray Dawson.
Probert was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps from preventing his horse from drifting left-handed interfering with Asgard's Captain (IRE) and causing Dawson to take a check for several strides.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Magico (IRE), placed second, hung left-handed under pressure; Hollie Doyle reported that Chaturanga (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure; Daniel Tudhope reported Stressfree (FR), placed fourth, suffered interference inside the final furlong; Billy Loughnane reported that Fouroneohfever (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed; Oisin Murphy reported that Royal Approval (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure; Alex Jary reported that Whiskey Pete (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong; and Billy Garrity reported that Have Secret (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong.

THE WILLIAM HILL PROPER PRICES HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) (DIV I) Permission was given for DARING LEGEND and OUTRUN THE STORM (IRE) to both go early to post and for UNDER THE TWILIGHT and YANTARNI to both wear a red hood to post.

Approximately 2 furlongs out, SOCIETY LION, unplaced, edged slightly right-handed, bumping UNDER THE TWILIGHT, placed third, which in turn bumped WARM SPELL (IRE), placed second, before UNDER THE TWILIGHT was buffeted for room when WARM SPELL (IRE) and SOCIETY LION became badly unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Inside the final ½ furlong, the winner, STANAGE, shifted right-handed, while racing greenly, making contact with UNDER THE TWILIGHT, placed third, which was tightened for room and in turn bumped CIRCE (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of STANAGE.
The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry into possible interference approaching the final furlong, involving WARM SPELL (IRE), placed second, ridden by Billy Loughnane, WOODSTOCK, unplaced, ridden by Hector Crouch and VIBRATO (IRE), unplaced, ridden by George Wood, but were unable to do so as Loughnane and Crouch had left the course.
