Permission was given for Salamanca (GB) and Parkland (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Mighty Nebula (IRE) to be mounted on the course.

Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the colt was deemed fit to run.
Inside the final furlong, Parkland (IRE), lugged left-handed, which caused Mighty Nebula (IRE), unplaced, to take a slight check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Jonny Peate reported that Salamanca (GB), placed fourth, jumped awkwardly which caused it to be slowly away, P J McDonald reported that KING’S CODE, placed fifth, hung right-handed throughout and David Egan reported that Mighty Nebula (IRE), hung left-handed.
