Sadhbh Tormey, rider of Jr Mahon, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount burst a blood vessel. The IHRB Veterinary Officer subsequently confirmed that Jr Mahon had blood at both nostrils post race

Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

An extended handicap for three years old and upwards (70 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won. Riders - Apprentices who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority and who have not lost the right to claim the 5lb allowance (65 winners). Also open to riders who have not ridden more than 10 winners under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing from 15th March, 2026 to 19th July, 2026 inclusive.
