The Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Cant Wait, ridden by Mr D.L. Queally, placed first and Arena Seven, ridden by Mr P.C. Bannon, placed second, where it appeared that Arena Seven ran short of room when racing inside a plastic wing at the area of the final hurdle. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Cant Wait had improved his placing in relation to Arena Seven and ordered that the placings be reversed with the result now to read: First - Arena Seven and Second - Cant Wait. Furthermore the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr D.L. Queally had ridden carelessly and cautioned him having taken his good recent record into consideration.
