An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference 1 furlong out involving the winner, King Of York (IRE), ridden by Kevin Stott; La Pulga (IRE), placed second, ridden by Thomas Greatrex and TEDDY’S PROFIT (IRE), placed third, ridden by Sam James.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of King Of York (IRE) as La Pulga (IRE) had received a significant bump, was moved off its intended line and caused the colt to become unbalanced, which had cost La Pulga (IRE) more than the diminishing short head by which it was beaten.
The Stewards therefore revised the placings as follows: First, La Pulga (IRE) and Second, King Of York (IRE).
The interference was found to be accidental as King Of York (IRE) shifted quickly left away from the whip at the same time as changing its lead leg.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately half a furlong out involving La Pulga (IRE), placed second, ridden by Thomas Greatrex and TEDDY’S PROFIT (IRE), placed third, ridden by Sam James.
The interference was found to be accidental as La Pulga (IRE) shifted marginally right causing TEDDY’S PROFIT (IRE) to be checked momentarily.
