An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 3 furlongs from the line, involving Hot Team (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Rhys Elliott; Golden Phase (GB), placed second, ridden by Rose Dawes; and Far Horizon (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Morgan Cole.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Elliott was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental as Elliott switched his mount right-handed for a legitimate gap, at the same time as Dawes, switched her mount left-handed around the weakening Mrembo (GB), unplaced, resulting in a weakening Far Horizon (IRE), becoming tight for room, and Cole having to take a check, and Elliott, having to briefly takeout.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Laser Focus (IRE), placed third, was treated for post-race ataxia.
