The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend leaving the backstraight involving Boston Benjamin, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Iryna's Star, ridden by W. Joyce where it appeared interference may have occurred
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that his mount was very difficult and ran very keen. He further added that he wanted cover and was happy for C.D Hayes to come across. C.D. Hayes stated that he was aware of W. Joyce on his inside and did his best to leave him room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
