Miss Arabella Fox, the rider of Roman Spring (IRE), placed sixth, beaten by a nose, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur, Miss Fox was offered to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Miss Fox was suspended for 2 days, on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that would have finished fifth.
Following the race, Mr Eireann Cagney reported that McCauley's Tavern (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free in the early stages.
