Permission was given for Runaround Sioux (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and for Prefer The Sister (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the ½ furlong marker involving Zaltalla (FR), unplaced, ridden by Paddy Bradley, and Grovely Belle (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Benoit de la Sayette.
Rossa Ryan, the rider of Charlie Mason (GB), placed third, and Lewis Edmunds, the rider of Runaround Sioux (GB), placed fifth, were also interviewed but found not to be involved.
Bradley was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he switched his mount left-handed into an insufficient gap resulting in de la Sayette having to take a check on Grovely Belle (IRE) between both Zaltalla (FR) and Charlie Mason (GB).
Following the race, David Probert reported that Dayman (GER), unplaced, ran too free.
