THE TUFFA BOOTS SUPPORTS THE NATIONAL HORSERACING COLLEGE HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) Cian Horgan, the rider of Cosmos Raj (GB), drawn 4, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.
Horgan’s explanation that Cosmos Raj (GB), reared as the stalls opened and therefore, he was unable to remove the blindfold for a few strides after the race had started, was noted.
Following the race, Cian Horgan reported that Cosmos Raj (GB), unplaced, reared as the stalls opened therefore was unable to remove the blindfold for a few strides after the race had started.
Having reviewed the race the Stewards were satisfied that Cosmos Raj (GB) had reared as the start was effected and therefore took no further action.
