Permission was given for Mythical Phoenix (IRE) to go early to post, for Roberto Caro (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Easy Peeler (GB) to wear a red hood to post, the filly also wore ear plugs which were removed at the start.
Just inside two furlongs out, Secret Guest (GB), placed second, hung quickly right-handed, causing Roberto Caro (IRE), unplaced, to become crowded for room and its rider to ease momentarily, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Secret Guest (GB).
Following the race, James Sullivan reported that Reigning Profit (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run one furlong out and Paul Mulrennan reported that Tinto (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
