Permission was given for Itaintmebabe (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post and for Zainy Champ (IRE) and Kelijoe (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
Prior to this race, Evan Williams was asked to explain the reason why he was running Tom Taggle (IRE) here at Chepstow over the distance of 2 miles 3 furlongs and 100 yards, having reported after the gelding’s previous start at Chepstow on 21 April 2025 that Tom Taggle (IRE) had improved for the step up in trip, from 2 miles and 5 furlongs to 2 miles and 7 ½ furlongs.
Williams’ explanation that owing to this previous course form, he wanted to run the gelding back at Chepstow, was noted.
Following the race, Lorcan Williams reported that Zainy Champ (IRE), which was pulled up, hung right- handed.
Itaintmebabe (IRE) unseated Jamie Gambin leaving the parade ring.
Having been checked by the Doctor at the start, Gambin was deemed fit to ride.
