The horses have been running well all evening but just hadn't been getting there, so this is great. That distance and a fast pace suits this horse. All his owners are above in a pub in Moira (Co Down) and couldn't get down, but they're having a great day!

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Katie Ross, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident one hundred and twenty-five yards from the winning post involving Akeela (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, unplaced and Miqdaad, ridden by C.D. Fahy, unplaced, where it appeared D. McMonagle had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that he was travelling faster than the horse in front of him when that horse was moving to the rail and he eased off of heels. C.D. Fahy stated that his mount drifted towards the railing but felt he was clear at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
