He is only 3lb higher now after his easy win in a novice contest at Fakenham last month and the six-year-old may still be a step ahead of the handicapper. Gordon Elliott has a couple of lively contenders. Eclair De Beaufeu won a competitive novice handicap at Leopardstown last month having kept good company previously. Chosen Mate opened his account over fences in good style at Gowran in January and doesn't look harshly treated off a mark of 147 in England.
