Formscan By Gary Carson - The Irish had a great run in this for a few years but it has been won by English horses for the past three years and last year's victor HAZEL HILL could strike again. He had excuses for his defeat by Minella Rocco at Wetherby last month when a muscle strain was discovered post race. The fact that he has won twice over course and distance is a big advantage and he sets the standard. Billaway looks the best of the Irish after quickening away in good style to win a hot contest at Naas in January. There didn't look to be a lot of pace on through that race, however, and it would be no surprise if the likes of Staker Wallace and Dylrow could get closer to him now.
