Formscan By Alan Magee - INDIGO BREEZE was snapped up for 140,000 pounds at the Cheltenham Festival Sale after winning an English point-to-point last spring, and justified odds on favouritism when taking a Thurles bumper in good style. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding was just denied by the well-regarded Keskonrisk when switched to hurdles at Fairyhouse, and this extra half-mile should play to his strengths. Gaillard Du Mesnil won a French three-year-old bumper and was also placed in Graded events. He had Takarengo well behind when the pair filled minor places behind Holymacapony in a 2m4f maiden hurdle at Punchestown last month and looks the obvious threat. Great Bear was runner-up to a useful sort in Magic Tricks at Navan, while Barney Stinson and Gaspard Du Seuil are others to note.
