Formscan By Alan Magee - SIRE DU BERLAIS has landed the last two renewals of the Pertemps Network Final at the Cheltenham Festival, and the eight-year-old showed he’s now better than a high-class handicapper when making a successful reappearance in the Grade 2 Lismullen Hurdle at Navan. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding accounted for French Dynamite and Sixshooter and is now taken to make his mark at the highest level. Ronald Pump was running a fine race when falling at the last in the Lismullen and has since finished strongly behind Honeysuckle in the Hatton’s Grace. Elliott holds a strong hand here with The Storyteller, a Grade 1 winner over fences last time, and Fury Road whose stamina is also proven having been just denied in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham last March.
