Formscan By Alan Magee - ARCTIC LIGHT appears best on good ground but may still overcome the conditions. The Iffraaj gelding was successful on debut in a Punchestown bumper but hasn’t really lived up to expectations since with a Sligo handicap hurdle the only other victory in 27 subsequent starts. Recent form is more encouraging having been just denied when reappearing over fences at Kilbeggan and beating all bar Take All, who ran well here on Saturday, on heavy ground at Cork. Ashqar is another suited by good ground and ran well on his last hurdle start at Punchestown. Aircraft Carrier showed promise in a maiden over course and distance last Christmas and outran odds of 100/1 when beating all bar Cape Gentleman last time in the Cesarewitch. The first reserve Bloodstone could be a danger to all if getting a run in what would be his first handicap.
