Formscan By Mark Nunan - GENTLEMAN JOE was useful on the Flat in Britain and can get off the mark on his third start over hurdles. He was odds-on when fourth at Punchestown in November and was also well fancied when beaten thirteen lengths in a juvenile maiden at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting. Although not running up to market expectations on either of those outings, he still finished in close proximity to plenty of decent horses and won’t need to improve much to score here. Dual Flat winner Evergreen And Red ran very well behind a progressive winner at Naas in March but was turned over at odds-on when last seen over hurdles at Kilbeggan. If running close to his 120 rating, he’ll go close. Babylon Beach had Moulane West three lengths away in third when a remote second to a stablemate of the selection at Killarney. It should be close between the pair again and both have place claims.
