Formscan By Tom Weekes - SPYGLASS HILL was in contention when falling at t he second last fence in a Grade 3 contest at Naas last month and can gain compensation here. A useful if limited hurdler (his rating climbed to 130 with his latest hurdles' win), he has shown better form over fences and comes here as a proven type who chased home Bapaume in a Naas beginners' chase in December in a race from which numerous subsequent winners have emerged. SPYGLASS HILL drops down in class from his latest Naas fall and while the drop in trio today isn't ideal, he should be very much involved at the business end today. Voix Des Tiep was himself rated 132 over hurdles and while his own chase form has been useful, might find the selection too strong. Stablemate Ontheropes actually beat SPYGLASS HILL 10L in a Tramore maiden hurdle last April but Ontheropes' form in two chase starts since has been underwhelming and he is his yard's second-string today. Off You Go is a very interesting runner given he has twice won the Leopardstown Labrokes Hurdle. He hasn't figured in three chase starts and was well held in a Grade 3 at Naas last month but remains a horse to stay on the right side of but might be more interesting in handicaps. Milan Native, tried in a first-time tongue-tie, has shown useful chase form but has also been well held on his latest starts and might struggle to win. Coquin Mans' two chase runs have been ordinary and he is best watched today.
