Formscan By Gary Carson - Willie Mullins has won four of the last five runnings of this and it would be no surprise if SOME PRETENDER made a winning debut. The Great Pretender mare cost €28,000 as a store. She is a half-sister to seven-time winner Mortlach and their dam was Grade 3 placed over fences. Emmet Mullins is represented by Barra Rua and she may prove the pick of those with form. The Camelot mare didn’t run too badly, despite being beaten favourite, when fourth to easy winner Master Sydney at Roscommon last month. Another newcomer to note is the Gordon Elliott-trained Clarnagh Maid.
