Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Laurina didn’t do much since, for the form of his Gowran second placing on November 23rd, but MINELLA INDO still appeals. It’s well documented at this stage that the Beat Hollow gelding takes plenty of work and racing before reaching his peak. However given the form of the Henry de Bromhead string, and the fact that Minella Indo’s true vocation was always likely to be in this arena, you’d have thought he’ll hit a high-point quicker this term, than he did last. Battleoverdoyen has been priced up at the head of the market early, and that’s justifiable. Carefully Selected and Champagne Classic are others for the short-list. Minella Fair pulled up in the Paddy Power. There has been merit in Lord Schnitzel and Speak Easy’s recent efforts. Not enough to fancy them here though.
