Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Paul Townend rides STORMY IRELAND of the Willie Mullins quartet and it’s easy to see why. The 147-rated daughter of Motivator defeated Black Tears, Eglantine Du Seuil and Barra six weeks ago over two and a quarter miles at Punchestown. The selection is going that bit further now but she’s nicely in here getting weight off some lesser rated rivals. It’s not difficult to see her continuing the good work this winter. Mary Frances is back among her own sex after running so well at Clonmel on December 5th. One of the oldest in the line-up Mary Frances is down in trip and it gets no easier for her against this level of opponent. However another decent performance seems sure to be in the offing from Martin Hassett’s charge.
