Formscan By John O'Riordan - An eyecatching fifth on his stable debut here in May, RETRACEMENT is sure to have been targeted at this meeting. While the Johnny Murtagh-trained gelding raced over 10 furlongs on that occasion, he had winning form over this trip for previous connections. A strong traveller who sees out his races well, the four-year-old is likely to race more prominently over this shorter distance. Slieve Binnian, who didn't enjoy the clearest of passages over C%26D last time, should be a leading contender. Although only successful once from 20 starts on turf, the four-time all-weather winner looks more than adept. Chazzesmee and State Actor are sure to have come on from their seasonal reappearances.
