Formscan - Flooring Porter has won the last couple of runnings of this race and warrants plenty of respect in his bid to complete the hat-trick, but his preparations haven't been straightforward so he looks a little vulnerable. Similar comments apply to Blazing Khal, who possesses plenty of ability but is very fragile. Home By The Lee keeps going under the radar, but he won both the Lismullen Hurdle and the Jack de Bromhead Christmas Hurdle in comfortable fashion and should run another big race. The vote, however, goes to Gordon Elliott's TEAHUPOO. He stayed on strongly to win the Hatton's Grace at Fairyhouse in December and was hugely impressive when stepped up to an extended 3m in the Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran last time. The six-year-old remains open to plenty of improvement over this sort of trip and, with ground conditions likely to be in his favour, he is fancied to land the spoils. French raider Gold Tweet readily won the Cleeve Hurdle over C&D in January and he shouldn't be underestimated.

Quotes on Blazing Khal (IRE)
It's relief really with the young fella riding him and all. I thought he gave him a lovely ride and he settled grand for him,. He's definitely a very good horse. He was working well and doing a lot of work over the last few weeks. We did expect a big run, he was fairly straight. With him it's day by day but naturally we'll be thinking of Cheltenham, of course. We've had so many false dawns with him. It's just been little niggly problems. The timing is not too bad, I suppose. We would have preferred to have him out before now but it is what it is. We can go to Aintree if we don't make Cheltenham. He was fairly fit today but naturally with race fitness you'd hope he'd come on again. You always have the bounce factor and ideally you'd want a second run but it is what it is and we're delighted to get him back. After Blazing Khal (IRE) finished 1st at Navan on Sun, 12th Feb 2023 2m 5f Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Flooring Porter (IRE)
The plan was to make it, but of course he has the issues with the start. We wanted to make the running and he was foot perfect everywhere. Danny was fantastic on him, when he jumped the third last he eased off and let him fill up, but to be honest I was worried he might get done for a turn of foot. Danny was cool though and knew what he was doing. I wasn’t too bad when he was down at the start as I was pretty confident he was going to be OK today, he seems to have matured and he’s behaved himself all the time he’s been here. At Leopardstown (at Christmas) Klassical Dream got a flyer and we didn’t and it made the difference, he was beaten just over two lengths. We didn’t want the same to happen in this race. After Flooring Porter (IRE) finished 1st at Cheltenham on Thu, 17th Mar 2022 2m 7f Hurdle Soft

Quotes on Home By The Lee (IRE)
I was actually worried how well he was travelling through the race because he never does travel well. I thought he was going to waste too much energy travelling and jumping well but he’s a real good stayer. He keeps finding and even when he got to the front he pricked his ears again. I was surprised he beat Bob Olinger in Navan but he really was going well. He was discounted in the betting but we hoped he’d be placed and then come here. He’s always been a fairly good horse. He was a good novice chaser and then lost his confidence jumping fences and we came back hurdling. He’ll probably go straight to Cheltenham now for the Stayers. He likes getting into a nice rhythm and wasn’t beaten a million miles in it last year. He looks a better horse this year. After Home By The Lee (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Wed, 28th Dec 2022 3m Hurdle Soft

Quotes on Klassical Dream (FR)
Paul (Townend) got him lovely and settled and relaxed at the start. Having so few runners in the race was a big help as he was able to settle him on the outside and keep him relaxed. The horse races so much better when he does that. He gets a bit upset but he was very relaxed today in the parade ring, at the start and during the race. He's maturing as he gets older. I'd imagine we'll go the same route next year. I don't think we're going to go over fences, I think it's easier to keep him sounder that way. As you can see he's so busy and every time we've run over fences we've had trouble with him. After Klassical Dream (FR) finished 1st at Punchestown on Thu, 28th Apr 2022 2m 7f Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Paisley Park (IRE)
He isn’t big, but he’s in the Baracouda mould. He hits that flat spot and then comes again. He’s delivered for us the whole season and he’s done it again. I’m thrilled. He was a bit further back that I expected but, but the man in charge (Coleman) knew what he was doing. There are so many people behind this horse and I think they just blew him up the hill. I think it’s probably unlikely he’ll go chasing (next season). He’s good, so let’s enjoy him over hurdles and he’s only seven. I’m just delighted he’s done it and he’s a young horse going forward. I have no idea if he’ll run again this season — I’m not even going to think about that. He’s banged his knee a little at the last, so we’ll get him home and see how he is and decide. After Paisley Park (IRE) finished 1st at Cheltenham on Thu, 14th Mar 2019 2m 7f Hurdle Good to Soft

I didn’t care, both of them ran well and the horses are running out of their skin. He won it a bit easier than last year, the blinkers help him travel that bit better. I’ll have to talk to the owners and see what he does next. The Storyteller ran a brilliant race too and had no excuses. Quotes on Teahupoo (FR)
He was good and is a good horse. He is going the right way and the plan is to go straight to Cheltenham (for the Stayers' Hurdle). It was two-miles in Cheltenham last year and I'd say this distance is the key to him - over two miles the gun is to your head the whole time. I know he was well beaten in Punchestown, but he wasn't actually beaten that far and he wasn't tailed off. At the moment we have no worries ground-wise although it (Stayers' Hurdle) is an open race too. Davy said he panicked and got there a bit soon, as he is so laid-back early but, when he gave a squeeze, he leapt back on the bridle. You'd love the way he quickened from the second-last to the line. After Teahupoo (FR) finished 1st at Gowran Park on Thu, 26th Jan 2023 3m Hurdle Soft to Heavy
