Formscan By Tom Weekes - OK CORRAL has made a fine start to his chase career and can avenge last year's defeat in the Albert Bartlett Hurdle by winning here. He was a smart staying novice hurdler and having finished second in the Albert Bartlett, has this term won both his chase starts easily, beating Impulsive Star easily over a staying trip at Plumpton in December. He since won well at Warwick, when ridden by today's rider, and he has had the ideal preparation for this race. Ballyward has also had an ideal preparation for today, having won nicely at Grade 3 level at Naas in January, with the runner-up subsequently winning at Graded level himself. He stays very well, likes an ease in the ground and while there may not be much between him and the selection, OK CORRAL did beat him 3L in last year's Albert Bartlett. Impulsive Star was well beaten by the selection in December and while he clearly has to improve to turn form, did at least win a smart staying handicap chase on his most recent start and can be relied upon to run another solid race today.
