Formscan By John O'Riordan - Having had just the four starts on the Flat at the very beginning of his career, ZANAHIYR could be very well handicapped. After winning his maiden for Michael Halford at Fairyhouse in 2020, the gelding was subsequently bought to go jumping with Gordon Elliott. Successful in his first three runs over flights, he later finished runner-up in Grade 1 races on four occasions. Although not the force of old in recent years, Zanahiyr ran a huge race when third off 145 in last years Galway Plate. Reverting to the Flat off a mark of 77 here, he has to be well treated. The veteran Lord Erskine and lightly raced four-year-old Robbies Rock look the biggest threats to the Elliott runner.
