She’s the eleventh foal of a dam, Gales Hill, that ran in bumpers and a hurdle. That Beau Sher mare showed very little but she’s a half-sister to Sweet Kiln (won one Flat race and nine NH races), Earth Magic (won six NH races), Lucy Stone (won two NH races) and Pollystone (won one NH race). Gales Hill has already bred Ballybolley (won ten NH races and placed in two pt-pts), Meitheamh (won a NH race and placed in a pt-pt), Skinflint (won three pt-pts) Banner Rebel (won a pt-pt) and Feabhra (won a pt-pt). GALE AT SEA herself, won ‘between the flags’ for Denis Murphy, at Toomebridge in October. Murphy said after that success: “That’s a great start to the season. This is a very smart mare and she is well bred as well. I think there should be lots of improvement in her and she will go to one of the sales now.” Arbor Vitae, Champagne Diva, Coosan Clover and Moyode Gold are others for the short-list.
