The daughter of Yeats has since put in a more than satisfactory debut over fences when sixth behind Bapaume at Naas. It’s been no surprise at all to see winners emerge from that contest since, and Countess Cathleen could be another here. The selection is back in trip now but that’s unlikely to be any problem given the conditions. It’s not surprising to see Denis Hickey go with fellow Wexford man, Sean O’Keeffe, when it comes to the spin on the nine-year-old. O’Keeffe’s five pound claim is a further aid, and he comes here in form after recent wins on Ahgetawayoutadat and Chosen Hours. Keep the likes of Shakeytry, Theatre World and Misty Millie in mind too.
