Formscan By John O'Riordan - SIMPLETWISTOFFAITH can strike on just his second start for trainer Patrick Hassett. The six-year-old had shown promise on a couple of occasions for his former connections but took a significant step forward when runner-up at Kilbeggan last time. A reproduction of that effort would be good enough to go one place better in this contest. Scott Lang is a decent handicapper on the level who has shown ability on both runs over flights to date. The Paul Flynn-trained gelding tends to race prominently, a running style that will suit around a tight track such as here. Extrapolation looked very smart when winning his bumper at Downpatrick in May but has yet to reach those heights over hurdles. The six-year-old has time on his side so shouldn't be discounted just yet.
