Formscan By John O'Riordan - ONLY ONE PLAN had been running consistently in similar races prior to getting off the mark at Roscommon on his penultimate start. The Retirement Plan gelding failed to back that effort up back at that same track last time but connections dispensed with the cheekpieces he had worn in his previous four outings. With that particular aid back on here, the Philip Rothwell-trained gelding should give a good account. Eighty Eight, a fair handicapper on the flat for Johnny Murtagh last year, looks nicely treated off a rating of 104 on his first start outside of maiden company. Dual flat winner Rushford also looks one that should have more to offer now that he goes handicapping off a relatively low mark.
